Bush Sultana Charcoal Fabric By Audrey Napanangka from M&S Textile
This is very vibrant, rich in color fabric from M&S Textiles. The designer for this fabric is Aubrey Napanangka. This fabric is designed after the bush sultana is the Australian desert raisin and is native to the arid parts of Australia. The bush tomatoes are used as a food source by Central Australian Aboriginal groups. The design is the desert raisin which is a small bush and has a thorny aspect. Some Aboriginal people in Alice Spring together with guests often go out to bush with coolamon and digging sticks to collect bush sultana and other bush foods.
The fabric has such a great story behind it and would add really good texture and vibrancy to any quilt.
